Our mission is to champion groundbreaking research and provide unwavering support to empower both patients and medical professionals in their journey to conquer this formidable disease.
Jackie Aziz Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Program
Dr. Saleh is co-director of the Jackie Aziz AYA Program, a program that honors the legacy of Jackie Aziz, a young person who lived with an open mind and a loving heart. As a young adult with cancer, Jackie experienced the unique challenges that affect younger cancer patients. The Jackie Aziz Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Program aims to address the gap in cancer care that is often referred to as the AYA gap. This refers to 15 to 39-year-old cancer patients who may not fit into the pediatric or adult healthcare systems. While cancer survival rates have improved for children and older adults over the last two decades, survival rates for AYA patients have lagged.
